An eCommerce platform built for a pizzeria client, covering everything from the storefront to payment processing and order communication.
Problem
The client needed a reliable online ordering platform that could handle real payments securely, across currencies, without relying on a third-party marketplace.
Solution
I built the storefront with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery on top of a Laravel and MySQL backend, and integrated Moneris for secure payment processing with multi-currency support and saved payment methods. Automated emails handle order confirmations, receipts, and customer support touchpoints, and I optimized the backend for SEO so the site could be found organically.
Challenges
Payment integration across multiple currencies raised edge cases around saved payment methods and transaction states that needed careful handling to avoid double-charging or silent failures.
